Nyingchi (Linzhi) in southeastern Tibet is called 'Tibet's Switzerland' for its lush valleys, pine forests, and snow-capped peaks. At a lower altitude than Lhasa (3,000m), it's easier to acclimatize. The Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon, peach blossom valleys, and sacred Namcha Barwa peak make it one of Tibet's most beautiful regions.
